I bought a package of 5 small Tugas trees from Sir Jimmy Pimentel just last week. Jimmy is among the few trusted sellers in Bonsai Pasikat and Bonsai Palak Facebook group. These groups are like hubs for bonsai hunters where they sell newly collected materials. I was lucky to get a deal with Sir Jimmy for Php690.00 for all 5 small trees including shipping costs.

And so it came and I claimed the parcel from the nearby JRS Express (courier). I cleaned the remaining leaves and unwanted branches. When I saw the actual trees, I was having a hard time deciding whether to plant them individually or as a forest. As I examine them 1 by one, I realized that there are 2 that can be planted alone in each pots and 3 that I guess would be perfect for a forest planting.

I imagine these 3 will be a good choice because of the directions of the branches.

So here’s how it ended up. Not looking as perfect as I imagined but I think it is quite on track to where I want it to be. As for now, I am going to leave it aside and give it time to recover and become established.

I will be posting updates soon…

UPDATE: October 8, 2016

Growing nicely. I decided to bring them out of the greenhouse for it to start enjoying the rain and the sun.
