Angel Ogi Uyehara’s Bonsai Masterpieces: Genesis (Hibiscus tiliaceus Bonsai)

Genesis (Hibiscus tiliaceus Bonsai)

I must admit that it was a bit frustrating not being able to get a chance to speak with Sir Ogi when I met him at a PBSi Bonsai show held in Mehan Garden, Manila, last year. I was pretty sure we could have had all day just discussing all the wonders of bonsai in the Philippines. I may not have gotten that chance, but that’s OK because I am a big fan and am following him on Facebook and Youtube. In short, I am a stalker, Haha.

I am learning and becoming more and more inspired by his works. Having said that, I secretly look at him as my mentor regarding this hobby. So I thought I’d write a series of posts dedicated to my mentor’s bonsai works in progress. This way, more and more audiences will be able to witness his works in the Philippines and other countries.

Let me start off with his Hibiscus tiliaceus Bonsai. Enjoy!
