Streblus Asper or Kalyos Forest Bonsai Progression
We got a few Streblus Asper / Kalyos materials collected from Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro last July 25, 2016.
I was looking to collect straight individual trees that will serve as the main material for a forest style bonsai.
After cutting down the these trees to my desired height, I prepared the training pot which is made by my father. It is a rectangular concrete pot which I thought is perfect for this composition.
Once the pot is ready, I put all the trees together trying to imagine how they should be.
Once I finalized my decision, I covered the roots with river sand and watered the entire pot with water mixed with some rooting hormone.
I am now waiting for the it to get established. I will be posting updates soon.
