This is just an update on my previous article about my red ficus (red balete) bonsai.  You can read about it via this link:

Just 10 days after and the constant rain must have encouraged a very strong growth.  The roots are coming all around the trunk and soon it will mature leaving an old/aged impression on the trunk.  When the bonsai looks old because of its enormous rooting system it is more appealing.
The good thing about vigorous roots in a plants specially for ficus species is that it indicates how healthy it is.  Enjoy the pics!
