Forgotten Bonsai Cuttings

As much as I wanted to, I can’t be a full-time bonsai artist. I hate to see that I always end up having forgotten bonsai cuttings somewhere in the garden. To be a full-time bonsayista has always been a wish ever since I started the hobby. And this might also be true for many as most of us have full-time jobs while doing bonsai on the side.

Patience is the Key

Keeping a bonsai hobby requires patience, continuous learning, and most importantly, money. So, you need to have the cash to buy fertilizers, pots, and sometimes the bonsai material itself. In order to sustain this hobby, we need to work.

I’m not saying that this is an expensive hobby. I know a few friends who almost have zero expenses in the hobby. They know how to improvise in almost everything. From pots and soil, they even hunt their own bonsai materials from the mountains. Unfortunately, however, I try, I can’t be as creative and talented as them. But I am trying to learn their ways so hopefully, I’ll be sharing some DIYs soon.

Neglected Bonsai Cuttings

Sorry about the long intro, all I want to share with you in this post are some of my neglected cuttings. These little plants were planted more than a year ago and they have grown a bit in their pots. Obviously, they look unhealthy because I have neglected them.

Today, I got a chance to take a pic of some of these trees. There are many of them in my garden so look out for more posts like this.

I prepared them in their pots and they are now ready to be trained as bonsai.
