Pinoy Bonsai Workshop: Philippine Holly and Tugas (Vitex Parviflora)

Share

It’s an honor to be visited by some of my bonsai friends in Oriental Mindoro. Duns and Kuya Raymond are very active members of Oriental Mindoro Bonsai Society and they came to my garden have some chat, coffee and most importantly, some bonsai workshop.

One good thing about having these guys to work on my trees is their enthusiasm and ability to clearly explain their thought process in selecting the right branches. I am amazed by their meticulous hands when it comes to wiring and pruning.
To begin the workshop, I have chosen my untouched and wildly growing Philippine holly followed by Tugas which I have already and slightly worked on a few months back. The third and last tree we worked on is another Philippine holly.
Here are some of the pictures to spice up your bonsai itch. 🙂
