| Mayon Volcano’s perfection is visible when the clouds are gone. |
The giant volcano that has always been winning the heart of many is beautifully standing tall and for a long time still looks undefeated. It is often compared to Japan’s Mount Fiji with its panoramic beauty. We all know that it has a pretty troublesome history with all the eruption and the number of lives it has taken but on a positive note, nature lovers in particular, will surely have nothing to say but perfection, magnificence and beauty to this yet another wonderful natural masterpiece.
1. Where is it?Mount Mayon or Mayon Volcano is located in Legazpi City, Albay. It is 8-9 hours away from Metro Manila. You have to book for a bus trip a day in advance. There are a few terminals in Manila that offer a ride to Legazpi Albay.

3. Food?
Albay is known to many as a place where people are crazy about spice. Not the ordinary spices but super ultra spicy hot foods. They have lots of love to eat their popularized spicy hot
Bicol Express. The unique food is just one of the reasons why you won’t regret visiting this place.
LahingBrown gives you some guide on how to cook it.
4. Where to go and what to do?There are rooms/hotels that you can rent for your stay. I was quite lucky because I was offered a free trip to Albay by a friend. The market, people, food and recreations in the place are worth checking. Here are some fun and thrill things that will complete your stay in Albay by
Virtual Tourist. 5. Something really special about it.
Well, I’ve read quite a number of facts about this volcano in
FilipiKnow just like
1. Mayon Volcano’s worst eruption killed 12, 000 people2. Mayon Volcano is Philippines’ most active volcano3. Mayon Volcano’s longest eruption lasted for 7 days4. Cagsawa Ruins was once home to snakes5. Mayon Volcano came from a slain princess
which are quite cool to know. My personal experience that I will never forget was when I saw the volcano during the night. It literally spits fire from the mouth and the night uncovers all this happening. It only goes to show how active the volcano is. It might be dangerous but the beauty that it offers to everybody is truly priceless.
These are the pictures I have taken in June of 2013. Enjoy!
