Red Ficus (Balete) Bonsai

My 10 y/o red ficus

I have been keeping this red ficus for about 10 years. Obviously, it is not yet fully trained for bonsai if you look at the braches. It is because most of the time I am away from our home in the province.  However, when I get a chance to visit my parents, I make it a point to do some works on it. And in the course of almost a decade of being in the pot, it now looks like this.  It now holds a promise of being one of my oldest bonsai collection.

I am amazed at how ficus can thrive in a pot with very minimal human intervention. It is very tolerant and can adopt to extremely hot summer.
